Watch Obama State of the Union Address Live Stream. After Several months in the service, the United States President Barack Obama will speak in front of the people in the 2010 State of the Union address on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. It will be aired on all the major networks starting at 9 PM ET. This will be Obama's first State of the Union Address, though the president did give a non-State of the Union speech to a joint session of Congress a month after taking office in 2009.
The speech will be delivered on the floor of the United States House of Representatives in the United States Capitol. Sitting behind the president will be the presiding officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The State of the Union is an annual address presented by the President of the United States to the United States Congress. The address not only reports on the condition of the nation but also allows the president to outline his legislative agenda and national priorities to Congress.
The State of the Union is typically given before a joint session of the United States Congress and is held in the House of Representatives chamber at the United States Capitol.
