This was the first telecast to be televised live coast-to-coast since the 34th ceremony held in 1976.
The drama to receive the most nominations was Mad Men, with 17. The comedy to receive the most nominations was Glee, with 19. The miniseries to receive the most nominations was The Pacific, with 24.
