2011 MTV Video Music Awards Winners

See the complete winners of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards took take place on August 28, at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, honoring the best music videos from the previous year. Adele became the biggest winner on the night, winning four awards out of seven nominations, including Best Direction and Best Editing for "Rolling in the Deep". Katy Perry won three awards, including Video of the Year for "Firework". Lady Gaga won two awards, including Best Female Video.

Nominees were announced on July 20, 2011.

MTV Video Music Awards 2011 Live Stream

Watch MTV Video Music Awards 2011 Live Stream on Sunday live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The 2011 MTV VMAs will take place on August 28, an award presented by the cable channel MTV to honor the best in music videos. Katy Perry received the most nominations this year at ten, followed by Adele and Kanye West, who are both tied at seven. There will be no host in the MTV Video Music Awards 2011.

MTV president Steven Friedman said in a statement, "We are thrilled to return to Los Angeles where the energy of the city will help power the creative spirit of the 28th annual VMAs. The city is the perfect backdrop for all the musical moments, mayhem and magic that make the VMAs such a notorious celebration." On August 11, 2011, it was stated in a promo that there would be a tribute to Britney Spears during the ceremony.
